Root

This was a one of a kind art piece. Featured in Matthew Rachman's gallery in 2018, I designed this piece to bridge functionality with a statement. Its long legs (or roots) were steam bent not only to provide stability, but to convey the aura and space of the person sitting on the chair. It is then, not simply a chair, but an idea of the space I feel I take up with the chair.
